The Gypsy

The Gypsy

written by: Jackie Chou

You remind me
of a chandelier
crystal
dreaming of being
a diamond–

your calloused soles
rubbing against
your flimsy flip-flops
leaving imprints
in the sand

your hands
reaching out
to be held
your incessant want
in their palms
