Shadows of My Being

Shadows of My Beings

written by: JahArt Kushite

Sadness descends upon
me a gentle mantle
Like a dark nightfall
I cannot battle
Chaos erupts as voices in
my mind rattle
My strength wears like
a falling wattle

Sorrow has found in me
a refuge
The void in my soul is
pitifully huge
On forlorn hope I slowly
tread
Where art thou Moses?
my way to lead

Darkness covereth
my daylight
Plundering me into
a mighty plight
I walk in the shadows
of my being
Oft in laments which
no-one is seeing
