A Grateful Kiss
written by: Greg Massey
@PoemCrafter
I’ve searched the songs
and felt their melodies
grind against my veins
I’ve read the poems and novels,
yet their words of elegance
found me still the same
As that of a man
whose footprints faltered
where the ocean meets the land
Where the water kissed the earth
it was there
I began to understand
That a Thank You
for You
is often best shared
In the care of the wind
with a kiss
that is a prayer.
