Angel

Can you
Hear an angel’s wings flapping
Feel her breath
As she
Chases your demon
To its death?

Will you
Imprison an Angel
Its wings bound with barbed wire
As she
Helplessly observes
Your human desire

Do you
Need a guardian Angel
a watcher in the dark
As she
Takes your heart in her hands
Or tears it apart?

Can you
Corrupt an Angel
Compel her to cry
As she
Feels your innocence
Pass her by…

Do you
Age before her
Curse your short lifespan
Do you
beg forgiveness
For being a man?

Can you
Bear to part
To unclip her wings, let her go
Love is eternal
As only Gods permit
And Angels really know…
