The Smoky Man

The Smoky Man

written by: Uzma Afreen

Once, I knew someone who had a beautiful garden but they used to ruin the entire atmosphere by smoking cigarettes there. The smell and the sight of cigarette butts scattered around just took away the serenity of the place. It made me realize how much I value clean, fresh air and a healthy environment. It reminded me of something my grandmother used to say – ‘I can marry someone poor but I can never marry a smoker.’ She always emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
