In Sleep

In Sleep

written by: Nada M. Sobhi

In sleep, the soul stays silent and serene
Awashed with remnants of soft memories.
In sleep
Shadows of their faces
I deeply embrace.
Their eyes are in a race
Yet little fragments of their misty existence-
To me, are the only grace-
In sleep
My eyelashes close the gate
Saving them inside my mind and heart.
my eyes, two boats sailing in peace
Visiting them in dreams
Promising to never part.
