To Thrive in Joy or, To Die in Vain

written by: Deepthy Ajith (Introverted Thoughts)

Far too many choices haunt this lane.
To linger a day or a lifetime – you’ll never know.
Tears or laughs; to thrive in joy or, to die in vain.

Coarse words that beckon pain
Or recklessness to herald a new low,
Far too many choices haunt this lane.

To gleam in daylight or drenched by the rain,
To forego, throw or grow,
Tears or laughs; to thrive in joy or, to die in vain.

Dreamy thinking and cold questions – just to be sane,
Take a chance, risk it all to finally sow.
Far too many choices haunt this lane.

Insanity, grief and muddled dreams; all to obtain
Rarefied teetering chances, that glow and show
Tears or laughs; to thrive in joy or, to die in vain.

Take a chance, let it out – to attain
Peace in a lifetime, though
Far too many choices haunt this lane.
Tears or laughs; to thrive in joy or, to die in vain.
