Ruru, a poem by Susan Glamuzina at Spillwords.com

Ruru

Ruru

written by: Susan Glamuzina

as the crescent moon rises
traffic hushes
lights dim
eye lids close
but not all

eyes wide
for the feathered hooter
who sits in the garden corner tree
that provides day shade
but at night it’s all his
and his morepork song
