Driven by Desire

Driven by Desire

Vessels born of desire,
Inside a raging fire, always wanting more.
Searching for a love that won’t expire,
Chained to a passion, needing to adore.

Hungry to be the winning bidder.
Quench the thirst, no time for fear.
Giddy with the need to deliver;
caught in desire’s snare.

Dreams shatter into unconscious yearnings,
Explode shards into the night.
How can you pick up the pieces?
Each one brings such delight.

The universe in fluctuation
Drives on the need for procreation
A waiting game of trepidation
How can we break free?
