my roots barely support me
you promised me life
have you forgotten your role
please quench my thirst Mr. Rain
I’m weary and tired
nurturing earth not easy
promised are plip-plops
gently you will be nourished

I enjoyed a dedicated career in the insurance industry for over 40 years being rewarded professionally and personally. Now retired, I am following my dreams and enjoy family, travel, writing, and promotion of others. My poetry appears in eleven anthologies, and my work is published across six platforms, inclusive of WordPress, PoetrySoup, Spillwords, BlueSky, Mastodon, and Tumblr. I'm thrilled in be in the company of such a talented group of kindred souls.
