Beginning

Beginning

written by: Larry Vernier Sr

Beneath the weight of yesterday a soft light stretches.
Cracking open the horizon.
Colors bleeding into one another.
As the earth breathes a new.
The whispers of dawn.
Tickles the edges of sleep reminding hearts.
That the world is made for change
The roots buried deep.
Can still rise toward the sky seeking warmth seeking hope.
Here in the quiet spaces the seeds of tomorrow nestle in the soil of today.
Tender and eager
Ready to unfurl
To break free from the dark
Each step is a promise
The laugher of children echoing
The ruffle of leaves in a gentle breeze
The first sip in a cold morning
The joy in small things
A reminder that we are alive
With every sunrise
We cast away the heavy shrouds
Inviting the sun
To paint over our scars
To wash away the doubts
That linger
Those shadows at dusk
This is the dawn
The moment when everything shifts
The heartbeat of the world
Resounding in sync
A symphony of beginnings
An anthem of resilience
A chorus of us
Rising together
