Fists of Fire

Fists of Fire

written by: Lawrence Langman

Oh look dost thou
protest the truth.
You’re blinded by
the lack of proof.

You seek what’s
never sought.
Envisioned by the
wars once fought.

Your lack of focus
impedes the brain.
Forget thou ire
that causes pain.

Don’t linger on the
gossip’s tale.
Keep eyes on us
so we don’t fail.

They hold our views
against our vanities.
Forcing entire nations
to lose their sanities.

Apart we’re weaker
frail and prone.
The rich controls
the mighty throne.

We’re kept at bay
thrown mere scraps.
Just fed enough to
download their apps.

Let’s forget these egos
that lie in wait.
Let’s focus onto
a real debate.

One that binds a
fist of fury.
So as one nation’s
judge and jury.

Stop pointing fingers
at one another.
Let’s stand together
as sisters and as brothers!
