WAITING

(Someday – The Poem)

I’ve sat thru the seasons
and waited for change,
from the sun and the snow
to the clouds and the rain.
And as time passes
my mind wanders away,
to a place we can be,
to a place we can stay.
Where these lonely filled nights,
all somber and grey,
get transformed into bright,
love filled beautiful days.
I’ve seen your heart crushed,
destroyed, shattered to pieces,
I know you feel broken,
I can hear it and see it.
so I’d hold you so close,
And you would cry on my shoulder,
when your world crashed down,
the abundant weight of a boulder.
I’d wipe away all your tears
you’d fall asleep on my chest.
We fought hard for those years,
it’s our time to be blessed.
I’m tellin’ you now
like I told you back then,
I’ll love you forever,
I wanna show you again.
So when your heart’s ready
and willing for love,
I hope that it’s me
that you’re thinkin’ of…

I’ve sat thru the seasons
and waited for change,
from the sun and the snow
to the clouds and the rain.
And as time passes
my mind wanders away,
so here I am waiting
for that amazing “someday”!
