jumping,
tumbling,
somersaulting,
flipping and
balancing.
Yes, I can do them all. My supreme performance on the rings has my mum fumbling for words. In my dreams, I am executing a challenging routine at the horizontal bar when you suddenly interrupt my stunt with your yelling voice. I don’t blame you. You just didn’t know I was working hard to win the gold medal on Sunday.
Sofia Kioroglou is an Athens-based translator and English Teacher. She is a published author and poet that uses words to make an impact. Writing is a form of catharsis and a means of self-discovery as the subject-matter of her work is mainly spiritual and religious. She has two books forthcoming for next year.
