TO A TRULY RAVISHING WOMAN

TO A TRULY RAVISHING WOMAN

written by: Norberto Franco Cisneros

Beautiful, gorgeous, stunning
What do these words really mean?
When they are poised next to your face
The answer is obvious

Trying to define the exquisiteness of your face
Is blasphemous in its obsequious expectations
Loosely strewn flowers bow and cover their eyes
Embarrassed

I revel in my extremely good fortune
To have found you among many amazing flowers
You kept our efforts for love alive
And I was forever lost in your sensual senses

We have lived as husband and wife for 60 years
Forever tied to the promise of forever I made to you
And you reciprocated with an inexhaustible verve
To make our family happy

We carry our love into the cosmos, my sweetness,
Always together, I shall carry you with me
Memory on memory, heart within heart
Remembering our first long embrace and kiss

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

My wife and I have been married for 59 happy but exhausting years. My wife is deserving of all the accolades she gets on this birthday.
