Hard as it is, I am a Scorpio, almost all that is said in the horoscope or the description attached with it, I am almost! If not absolutely. Being an animal that is an overthinker, logical, have trust issues, Scorpios are attracted to magic. But sometimes if the magic disappears, it becomes unattracted to a Scorpio maybe unfamiliar, that shift was so immediate, so instant that anyone could hardly understand on the first glimpse. They love being fantasized, being popular but they are so aloof and once they sense a danger, they will make the first move, the pang of their tail will poison, tore you, leave you in awe. But I still tell myself that it is only a general description to that existence. It is not me, I have my own distinction in this world, I am member of the flock God has chosen to take extreme care. I am loved and adored by so many, I just need to strengthen my faith, my ties and make myself a responsible individual and identity in this world. Make the most out of my life while am still alive in this pandemic thrilled world. I want to be fruitful, to generate love in my surroundings and environment. I love my family, my love Jon and my duty.

The Flag Raising Ceremony, an equivalent to the Hearts’ desire of a man in uniform whose face lifts as the symbol of patriotism afloat with the filaments above him. The patriotism in his own terms that may not deeply be understood by anyone. The highest form of respect is being shown through the salutation made by the BFP Personnel in unison as they sing the national anthem. This Monday Flag raising ceremony is not like any other. There is a battle-cry. Another battle-cry, this time to free the nation from the enemy that cannot be seen. It is March 16, 2020. A flag ceremony with only the BFP personnel present whose Fire Prevention Month Celebration has just started. At this point everything will change amidst the fear of the fast spread of the CORONA Virus infecting and worse, killing people all over the world. Hence the word “FRONTLINER” was given birth. The first line of defense in a warzone. We became a part of the so called frontliner. One minute we were excited in our series of fire prevention activities then suddenly everything turned upside down. It was not “how about us”, it now became “how about our families” and the community we serve and protect that became the sole reason of being stronger and withstand the weight of being in the battleground. We as members of the uniform personnel were used to the sudden changes of our life but this pandemic tested our faith and our sincere gratitude of being part of the public service however the circumstance. In light thereof, we are not alone in this battle, our battle-cry will be our winning speech. In the truest sense, as said by Franklin D. Roosevelt, “freedom cannot be bestowed; it must be achieved“, therefore let us continue to raise the flag with hearts full of hope in winning the war, the crisis faced by the world in these times. Soon this will be conquered while everyone of us is united in working this out together.
