Colours That Don’t Exist

Colours That Don’t Exist

written by: Hamza Chowdhry

I think of you in colours that don’t exist. You are my blue crayon, the one I use to colour my sky. You are my orange paintbrush, the one I use to paint my sunsets and sunrises. You are the pink and purple which I see in my dream clouds and when I exhale thick smoke.

I paint my thoughts black and my heart doesn’t bleed. I love and embrace the pain.

Real eyes realize real lies. How can I love you when I am still learning to love myself.

Paint me grey and wait for me.
