The Ebb and Flow of Sweet Dreams

The Ebb and Flow of Sweet Dreams

Everything fragrant and sweet
Draws a pint of my blood
When the days are ground down
Into pillars of sand

The evenings seethe
Steaming beneath the crimson moon’s glower
For each precious second stolen
Lost in fairy tales and rapture

The ebb and flow of this dream
Consumes a young world of spoils
Swept underneath the waves
Of its chemical clash

The ebb and flow of this sweet dream
Plunders my mind
And sends me floating
Enthralled
By the deepening silence
