A Beautiful Lie

The mightiest ocean has a noisy tide,
With no place as home as its hide.
The greatest man once told a lie:
“It takes nothing to be a man but all.”
But to me, it is such a beautiful word,
Because it is true, and that is our world.
I am Victor Oyewole, I hail from Ile-Ife, Osun State. I am a Nigerian poet, writer, spoken word artiste and an OAP. I am studying Soil Science currently at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
