A Curse

A Curse

written by: Aishwarya Chauhan

You and I went on a long drive,
under the roof of stars.
My head was resting on your shoulder
while you were driving the car.

I kissed the scar on your left eyebrow
and then on your upper lip.
You looked into my eyes
on the steering, you loosened your grip.

I smiled.
You smiled back.
On the radio,
played a romantic soundtrack.

Nothing could be more beautiful than two of us.
After that drive, we fell apart.
Maybe it was our fate
or a curse.
