A Fragile Body

A Fragile Body

written by: Jenny Frye

With each passing day, a battle I still fight,
My body weak, my spirit left in plight,
My physical health has kept me from soaring high, robbing me of joy, leaving me to sigh.
But within this darkness, a fire still burns, a flame of hope, for which my heart yearns. I refuse to let this ailment define my fate, I’ll rise above, no matter how long I have to wait.
As I search within deepest depths, I long to find strength to renew.
I refuse to give up, I will conquer this battle, I’ll see it through. My life’s sweetest pleasures are within my sight, I won’t surrender, I’ll continue to fight.
With each passing day, is still a challenge to embrace, a test of resilience, a chance to erase, the limitations that have held me back, to reclaim my life, I have to get back on track.
Though this body aches in constant pain, my spirit remains, with a warrior’s soul, unyielding, but yet untamed.
With every setback, I’ll rise once more, a miracle reborn, stronger than before.
I’ll seek a remedy, a healing touch,
within the embrace of nature’s generous touch. Through exercise, nutrition, and self-care, this body is worthy of quality healthcare
