Here’s the truth
Is what you can expect
From my heart
From my intellect
The person I have evolved to be
And knowing this
You can proceed
In all misconceptions
My labeling
For I know myself
I have no control
Over what agendas you’ve been sold
I know just one truth
I know it proud
My actions have spoken
Sometimes too loud
But if caring kindness
If devotion to friends
Is a peaceful means to an end
So let it be
So let us show
No one can stop me
On my path to growth
My writing is typically written while I'm on a treadmill, so I call myself "the treadmill poet!"
