A Pen Shall Set You Free

written by: Sherry Healy

Poetry, much is in my mind
I hear you there all the time
You love to speak to me
At times, I can’t help but to set you free

Flow from me lovely words
Say those I have never heard
Dig down deep into my soul
Tell me, shout to me, things I need to know

Give me romance
Words I will give you a chance
Give me a brilliant dance
Reach out upon my lonely branch

A tree and leaves
Grow from me a cool breeze
Speak to me old poetry tree
My pen shall set you free
