A Quest For Peace

A Quest For Peace

written by: Yahuza Abdulkadir

To live in peace and contentment is now hard to come by.
I’m lost within the maze of my mind and soul,
My life is nothing but a clear gloom,
Who will help in lighting up my way?
I’m scared of this tragic life we live in.

Perfidy has become the sun that brightens the day,
Strife as the shining stars during the late nights.
Jealousy and hatred have become the order of the day,
This world is a deep fire as it brings agony and woe to men,
I don’t want to live in this life anymore.

Yes, I’m tired,
I want to die in peace tonight.
