Waking up an hour early every morning
making the perfect cup of coffee and reading
a chapter before the lights get turned off
the door is locked
the keys are shoved into the ignition
the radio goes on
the morning show you like has an annoying caller
classical music, ah that’s better
your favorite parking spot – press the lock button twice
walk in and wave hello
(with the hand not holding the container of coffee
filled with the leftovers from the French press purchased
online and shipped in two days).
