Anywhere But Here

written by: Cristina Munoz

if we were anywhere but here
outside the dirty old peel again
with those brave honest sexy words
declaring what you want to do to me
dissolving me fast, leaving me mute under you
fully accept what i've been denying is true
i will lose my fight for any self-control left

if we could be anywhere but here
i would lead you into a sanctuary of intimacy
closing the bedroom door on our mistaken world
i would create the courage to be vulnerable,
laying my black and red cards one by one before you
surrendering to you every held back truth,
i would destroy all of my defences, trust letting you in
as i have never wanted anyone more than this

if we were anywhere but here
only if you want me too
