Bear Mama’s Grit…

This child’s life is always hanging in the balance. Lost its sibling, the mother is literally on the run to save this baby. Without knowing what is at stake this young one seems happy with the attention he is getting and climbs trees and teases Mama Bear. She keeps scolding, yet the child has a mind of its own. Now Mother Bear has been followed by two male bears whose intention is to catch the baby and kill it so they can have her. This leads to fierce battles inside jungle but mother never gives up, she fights to save her child and one of the males is badly injured. Well, this is the Law of the Jungle, still, my heart bows to the grit of this mother who with all her strength protects the child, not only against these two male bears but also three tigers who are active in this area. Satpura Tiger Reserve is well-known for the sighting of sloth bears and leopards but this Mama Bear’s story definitely needs to be shared. Surrounded by five adversaries, my only prayer is that her active and chubby cub survives. Let’s hope that this mother’s struggle doesn’t go in vain.
