Inspiring Tale of Dr. Jane Goodall

She stood with a smile amongst the crowd as a beacon of hope,
To share the messages of peace and conservation, she travelled around the Globe,
The journey to being a scientist, while starting as a secretary,
Is a tale of following dreams and creating one’s own destiny,
At a time when women found it difficult to get recognised without being eclipsed by the overbearing shadows of men,
She forged her path with patience, grit, and acumen,
Facing the fear and moving forward towards a lifestyle and occupation that was quite unknown,
She managed to make a name for her own,
Through hard work and commitment, she broke the barriers created against her by the inflexible society,
Well-being of the chimpanzees led her to take up the cause of biodiversity conservation with the support of local community as her priority,
Her studies motivated people to pursue the field of ethology,
Animal behaviour analysis became an important part of understanding ecology,
Her research changed the perception of human beings towards wild creatures,
Her deeds inspired many young minds who themselves took up the role of conservationists and environmental educators,
When she mentioned that creatures can have different personalities and emotions,
Once, there were members in the scientific community who disapproved of those observations
Later, they gave credit for her dedication to science,
Moreover, her research made an impression on the collective human conscience,
She narrated her wild tales with fervour,
As a storyteller who had an immense connection with nature,
Her words and works laid the roots of compassion and curiosity towards other species in humanity,
She mentored youth who care for nature to come together as a community,
In an age where some leaders are fighting for absolute power and many tend to ignore the aftermath of climate crisis,
She humbly spoke about the necessity of climate action and unity among nations while facing criticism and duress,
There are certain lives in human history whose legacy generates aspirations among individuals to do good and make a difference,
Thanking Dr. Jane Goodall for being one of them who will be remembered with due reverence…
