Beautifully Broken

She was a broken soul,
but she was still beautiful.
Life had taken its toll,
but she remained dutiful.

She did all she ever could,
to help others with love.
Often misunderstood,
she would still rise above.

Although life hadn’t been kind,
she never gave up hope.
She eventually would find
the ways to help her cope.

With all of life’s miseries,
she would never change her heart.
Even when brought to her knees,
she couldn’t play the cruel part.

She will always survive,
no matter what comes her way.
She just wants to feel alive,
and looks forward to that day.
