Before We Fell Apart

Before We Fell Apart

written by: Tara

Pale moonlight,
Late winter nights,
Cycling along the runway
Alit by distant lights.

The wind rushes past,
My hair fluttering,
around me,
Like raven colored butterflies,

Your face,
Drenched in moonlight,
Brighter than all the stars I cannot see,
As the dark intensifies.

And I realized,
That maybe forever
Is just,
This one moment before disaster

That I’ve held onto,
Close to the heart,
That one moment of infinity,
Before we fell apart
