Bloodletting

Bloodletting

written by: Kenneth Vincent Walker

If we revert back to
Our animalistic side
We shall rip each other
To shreds like paper, as
Confetti released in air

Exploding into violence,
A worldwide bloodletting;
Opposing thy brother’s
Nature, in but a vapor, a
Demeaning mist, a crime.

So veer from intolerance
Which is more befitting a
Cerebral creature who is
Not merely here to deride
And criticize, but to arise

In these dismal of times.
