Bound By Bjork

Galaxy of a girl
born on Icelandic soil
Other worldly words,
metallic blood sound
She crystal covered, ‘Birthday,’
captivating everyone
Gothic girl weeping,
arms snaking downwards,
curling long behind her back
Beat boy dances in circles,
possessing ‘Cold Sweat’,
black shirt dripping love
Eased onto a giant speaker,
dancing alone, can’t help clapping,
joyous noise, ecstatic crowd
explosive energy staining clouds
you standing still by the stage,
beholding ‘The Sugarcubes’ play
Punk perfect pixie face,
tiny hands clasped over,
small shaven-head
Wide smile shines wonder,
watching her sing ‘Water’
sirens voice is calling,
shivering a sigh we feel
both bound by Bjork
