Breaking The Shells

Breaking The Shells

written by: Bernard Ebenezer Essaga

Turfed, of sadness they deciphered
Grieved, of angst they reflected
Broken, with tears they regretted
Since they dwelt in the shells

Time is a friend, and still should it be this time
Though fine and sweet gut since lime
Sore, painful, aching is the daily, but fear
And of the shells, gore and sorrow we wear

Ultimate time is the need to unleash
Scarce voice is the tone to break the chains
Astute thought to free, yet to refresh
For to change is about breaking the shells
