Dancing on Glass

Dancing on Glass

written by: Bonnie Clements

Butterfly stencils breathe life into the glass
I wonder who put them there–
the woman who lived here
before me
An elderly woman
A grandmother–
maybe her grandchild
or maybe she just liked the shapes
the colours
gold, red and blue.
Winter sun shines through their wings
fluttering like butterflies do.
