Devastating Beauty

written by: Cristina Munoz

@cristinamunoz8

the way catching sight
of her face alone effects me
i see water receding
as if the sea is taking in
a deep extended breath
like before a tsunami hits
right along with me

i wouldn't blame
an ocean
for behaving
like she's an earthquake
as she's seriously the sexiest
most powerful, compelling,
boldest force of human nature
i have ever been shaken by

when such devastating beauty
always leaves a wreckage
of hearts in her wake
why would she spare mine?
