Drawing Near

Drawing Near

written by: Todd Humes

driving on this grim highway
with no company to share the space
where the moon is non existent
our mother has gone dark
like the city south of me
a silhouette of empty tombs
drawing near
is a flashing beacon
demanding to
stop the spread
