The Crow in the Woods

His white eyes sparkling in the moonlight
Following every step I take
He’s searching for his next prey
What does he see in me?
Am I going to be his next victim?
Can I flee from his catch?
I’m not allowed to do a false step now
I can see his claws clutch the branch
The darkness is my only way through this
Can I escape from here?
Am I going to be safe?
Can I ever be free?
Suddenly his body leans forward
He crows into the dark night
It echos in my head
Am I going to die?
