NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:

Illustration description: A dark, cloudy landscape, featuring the rectangular shapes of backlit buildings, partially swallowed by the toxic, black, purple, and green smog. The lower left is the darkest area of the image, the middle right the lightest. The light is yellow-green and sickly. The words of the haiku occupy the top left in white Flood Std Regular font. In the bottom right contains a large, steel safety pin, seemingly stuck through the dark background, but unfastened.

I am mostly a visual artist, but I like to create "found poetry", specifically daily haiku made from the statuses of my Facebook friends. It was my Mom who started this, and officially passed the responsibility onto me when she became too busy.
