ECLIPSE

ECLIPSE

When the waves of our love first started,
I kept the fins of my heart from being too excited,
In case soon we be parted,
And the dreams of my youth be left blighted.

But now that we have shored here,
And Heaven has smiled upon us my dear,
Let us cherish the ark of our union,
That has weathered the wrath of the depressing storm,
And stay faithful to our evolved form,
Like the bonds of earthy spirits at communion.

For not many lovers under the celestial spheres,
Shall advance to the golden age of our years,
And leave their footprints in the sand for others to feel:
Since we are all fragments of perfection overcoming the same ordeal.
