Ellipsis

Ellipsis

written by: Ana Dee

Like a parched land
that thirsts for the rain’s touch,
I want to catch every word
that pours from your mouth.

Remember, our midnight tongue
on the cusp of surrender
with our unspoken truth,
and you: my unfinished verse.

If you choose me now,
I’ll come to you like a time capsule
and love you in reverse
because you are my muted desire;

a seed of possibility.

You are the pause
that stretches into eternity.
Let the moon be my witness:
You are my ellipsis.
