End of The Season

End of The Season

maple leaves folding
hiding their beauty
time running a race
with our highland past
unveiling to me
our crimson dreamlife
would never last
my ears blooming
clematis like trumpets
hearing only purrs of delight
unfurling my wings of white
sailing on jasmine clouds
waning into the night
