Fighting For Changes

Fighting For Changes

written by: TeaBee

When I was younger

I was searching
Seeking and finding
Learning through writing
that life Was worth fighting for

I would regale the promises
and fail or conquer them
To release my hopelessness
and let those monsters in

It was arduous parting with
every part of it ardently
and targeting marks within
breaching doors with metaphors

and they say Life is what we make it
so I got really creative
made what I could with my imaginations
and I dreamed to see better places

They told me I could be anything when I grew up
so I got creative and never changed who I was
I let my words paint worlds to craft new ones
and I let myself grow into who I am just once

then I visited alien mentalizations
battling for love’s distant embraces
soared through galaxies to discover a revelation
finding God in a graveyard of past civilizations

There are no changes unless we make them
There is more to a story if we use imagination
There is something worth fighting for
but first we must all learn to be creative
