Fraud, a poem by Rineyl Bayrs at Spillwords.com

Fraud

Fraud

written by: Rineyl Bayrs

Never thought I’d get past it,
Never knew your touch
Would one day lose its haunt.

All the times I fell to the ground,
Fought unarmed, without a guard
Now they look like lessons I paid for in blood.

I served my heart on a silver platter,
Offered all of me to the hands of a fraud.
But finally, I don’t search for you
In unfamiliar crowds.
