Frozen Spring

Frozen Spring

written by: Miss Kanishka

In frozen spring where shadows lay,
A fragile tree began to sway.
The winds would howl, the storms would beat,
Its branches thin, its roots discreet.

A gardener with a gentle hand,
Saw beauty in that modest stand.
She nurtured “trash,” praised its leaves,
And healed the wounds that no one sees.

Now blooms adorn the tree so fair,
Its strength revealed with tender care.
Yet, shadows linger, doubts remain,
But hope and light now break the chain.

Frozen spring now blooms the rain,
Leaning daily and growing again,
Until the woods quell the pain,
Until the woods quell the pain.
