Game Tokens

Game Tokens

written by: Seia

I’m like playing inside an arcade
Beads of sweat trickling down my neck
Empty pockets and a couple of game tokens
I can lose you in a one simple misstep

Limited chances or I could get some more
Someone please stop me and take me home
For this time I am willing to bet it all
Just to be welcomed again in front of his heart’s door

Million conversations in my head
One stood out: “loving him is a dead end”
It turns out that I already lost the game
Yet this heart that loves truly will never be ashamed
