Game Tokens

Game Tokens

written by: Seia

I’m like playing inside an arcade
Beads of sweat trickling down my neck
Empty pockets and a couple of game tokens
I can lose you in a one simple misstep

Limited chances or I could get some more
Someone please stop me and take me home
For this time I am willing to bet it all
Just to be welcomed again in front of his heart’s door

Million conversations in my head
One stood out: “loving him is a dead end”
It turns out that I already lost the game
Yet this heart that loves truly will never be ashamed

Seia

A twenty-three-year-old woman who finds beauty and is passionate about literature, music such as violin and the piano, photography, and traditional art. Her name is Seia and she lives in the City of Manila, Philippines. Seia has always been passionate about writing poetry. She describes herself as a curious writer who loves exploring or experimenting with different styles and themes. As part of her writing process, she immerses herself in her projects—diving headfirst into planning such as drafting her thoughts into words, designing art suited for the poem, and fine-tuning of the poems she feels are the most worthy of sharing. “Go where you feel most alive,” is her reminder to herself and wants to pass that message to everyone as well.
