Home is Where the Heart is…

They say home is where your heart is,
but mine no longer lingers
inside this house
without you here beside me.
The echo from these walls
leaves an emptiness in my soul,
constantly searching for a sign
that you are nearby.
In the whispers of the night,
I sense you
connecting with my heart,
helping me to make it
through another day.
