I Survived

I am a woman
Who has emerged from a different birth
I was born
I died
And I was born again
Into the flutter of life so sweet
Once I had let go of everything I believed in
I knew I could start over
After a life filled with utter madness
I was born again

Debra Sasak Ross is a published poet from Chicago, Illinois. Besides reading, writing and listening to music, she loves thunderstorms, blizzards and gardening.
