I thought it all wrong
If I ever believed I was the reason behind your smile,
I was mistaken.
For every sleepless night, or even the slightest moment when you felt paranoid
If I ever thought it was me all along
I got it all wrong.
And here I am,
Constantly waiting to disappear,
Because I’m not even worthy of a single tear.
Trying to hold on to something that was never mine,
Hoping with all I have that some day we’ll be fine-
That you’ll see me,
Always standing by your side,
Looking at you, silently hoping that someday you’ll let me all the way in
But again,
If I ever believed that day would come,
I got it all wrong.
I thought it all wrong.
