In Shadows of Sound

In shadows of sound
Robin lurks for titbits.
Gardenia, in her strange language…
Waving like a ghost,
Gorgeous aroma mixed with mustard sunstrokes.

As a Spider swings on his own pearly web
Nature’s fingers embroider mist with silver.
Jasmine hangs, naked. Blushing butter white.
Infatuated Cornflower throws her a wink.
Sap trickles down his stalk.
Wisteria’s fingers flap-flutter hued colour
Bleaching a breeze midnight blue.

Honeysuckle hungers for fish, blood, and bone.
Smearing her satin sheen in blazing Sun.
Summer shower steams from hot flags.
Dandelion seeds huddle together…
Like lovers through eternity.

Tulips dare to scare with their open tongues,
Clashing with the throats of night flowers
Who thrive in the shadow of a Siskin.
A cut paper Petunia salutes their beauty.

High sky floats, feeling jealous of
Feathery white, puffed cumuli’s drift…
A mystical show.
Royal blue sepals lose their fashioned hue
Much harvest to scatter in gulps of air.

Gain comfort from these golden elements.
Magic wands wax once again…
Poppy tops trickle into view
Living stalks ruling over wild pasture…
In shadows of sound.
