Last Lines

written by: DedHedpoet

I am writing the last lines
I'll ever write to you
No goodbye or farewell
Just the end of us two.
     I'm reading our old letters
my walk down memory lane fondly reminiscing
on how we shared a name.
These pages are now tattered         long dried weeping stains          everyday “I love you’s”
until a lie caused this pain.
Now these boxes hold despair in every envelope a piece
what was once my beating heart
lies broken at your feet.
